MY GRANDMOTHER'S TSOTCHKES (availability pending)

this new play uncovers the heartfelt relationship of a Russian, Jewish immigrant and her granddaughter who journey through the boroughs of New York City in the late 1950's. On the subway, at the Coney Island midway, in a Chinese restaurant, sitting in their backyard and in other settings, Grandma shares her poignant life lessons filled with charm and wit. Grandma's commonplace trinkets, her tsotchkes, are offered as memories and become living symbols of perseverance, determination and independence for May, the granddaughter.
