Jennifer Grimm

Jennifer Grimm is an American artist living and loving in the Twin Cities. Jennifer has been featured in theatrical productions by Theater Latté Da, Park Square Theatre, Ritz Theatre, The Ordway, History Theatre, and NorthCoast Repertory as well as internationally in countless jazz clubs, music studios, and private events. She has enjoyed a career recording and writing music for NBC, Sony, USA, TLC and SHOWTIME as well as being the speaking voice for companies including Target, Caribou Coffee, Virtuwell, and OfficeMax. A member of both Actors’ Equity Association and The Recording Academy, Ms. Grimm holds a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics from Augsburg. “Jeff Gavin is a local Minnesota singer, performer & songwriter. Originally hailing from Wilmington, Delaware Jeff has been working professionally in the Twin Cities for the past decade. Whether you find him on stage with Minnesota Music Hall of Fame funk group “Free & Easy” covering the 2000’s classics with his own band the “Jeff Gavin Band” or holding down the bass in two time world champion acappella group, “Six Appeal” you are sure to find him performing somewhere near you this year.”

Tony Axtell

As a multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, as well as prolific composer, arranger, engineer and producer, Tony's skills can be heard on many genres of music he’s had the fortune of being involved in over the past few decades.

Tony's live musical career over the years includes performing with many groups in jazz, pop, R&B as well as a handful of other styles and genres. Some of these artists include; Mark Murphy, Donny Osmond, David Sanborn, Ricky Peterson, Bobby Lyle and Prince Rogers Nelson.

Gary Rue

Guitars, Keyboards, Backing Vocals

A performer and composer, Gary has been playing music for audiences throughout the western hemisphere since the mid-sixties, beginning with various town halls in the upper Midwest and graduating to East Coast ‘tent’ tours that included the Big Apple (Carnegie Hall as music director and duet partner for Gene Pitney) and on to far flung points in Canada and the Caribbean. Early along the way, Mr. Rue began writing music of his own, and was rewarded with some of his songs being recorded by (among others) Nick Lowe and Helen Reddy, as well as many prominent regional artists. He is the author of nearly 90 scores for music theater (including The Stinky Cheese Man, which toured the US and China with Dallas Children’s Theater), is a 2010 Minnesota Music Hall of Fame Inductee and an active touring musician and educator.

Brian Pierce

Keyboards, Guitars, Vocals

The son of two professional musicians, Brian Pierce has been lucky enough to have made a lively career from many facets of the performing arts, including as an actor, music director, playwright, composer, multi-instrumentalist, and vocalist. Regularly seen on Sidekick Theatre and History Theatre stages, his credits include From Ava to Eternity (Sidekick Theatre), Jefferson Township (Park Square), Teen Idol: The Bobby Vee Story (History Theatre), Sweetland (History Theatre), and Life Could Be a Dream (Old Log). 

 

Dave Schmalenberger

Drums

David Schmalenberger recently performed on drumset/percussion with Karrin Allyson, Pat Frederick and Low Company, the Steeles, Marilyn Maye, Take That Back!, the Minnesota Orchestra, and DAT Trio. He also recently recorded with vocalist Connie Evingson (“Sweet Happy Life”), guitarist David Singley (“Good Hope”), trumpeter Chuck Lazarus (“Lovejoy” and “Merrier and Brighter”), the Laura Caviani trio with Chris Bates (“Mysterious Thelonius” and “Confluence”), Vicky Mountain and David Martin (“Play On”), Jerry Kosak (“New Possibilities”), and the Bill Simenson Jazz Orchestra (“Big Alpaca”).
